Pradeep Pathak joins Justice Crafters as a Senior Partner, bringing over 34 years of distinguished experience in the aviation sector. An Aeronautical Engineering graduate (Class of 1984), Mr. Pathak has played a pivotal role in shaping India’s aviation regulatory landscape.
After joining the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India, in 1986, he made significant contributions to the development and implementation of Indian Aircraft Rules and Regulations, aligning them with international best practices. His expertise spans aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and airworthiness certification, acquired through extensive domestic and international training, workshops, and seminars.
As a former Joint Director General of Civil Aviation (Jt. DGCA), Mr. Pathak spearheaded key initiatives, including the development of India’s online examination system for pilots and aircraft maintenance engineers. He also led critical divisions such as Airworthiness, Flying Training, Surveillance & Enforcement, and Personnel Licensing. Notably, he served for a decade as an Airworthiness Panel Member in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), where he contributed to developing global Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs).
In addition to his regulatory expertise, Mr. Pathak is an advisor on air traffic compliance and has been working as a consultant to the Indian government on drone regulations. Prior to joining Justice Crafters, he also served as an advisor to the Rajasthan Government, assisting in the procurement and management of aircraft and helicopters for the state’s distinguished ministers.
